In case you might have forgotten, or never knew about it, Snoop Dogg was signed to No Limit Records by Master P back in 1998 when he left Death Row and P.
Snoop Dogg while speaking with HipHopDX Senior News Writer Victoria Hernandez at the Long Beach yesterday, The California native confirmed the rumors that Master P played a big role in his success. He said:
“[I credit] him for saving my life, giving me a second chance, teaching me the business, enabling me to be Snoop Dogg and have fun and live and not have beef and have controversy in my life and allowing me to find my way to happiness,” he said via a segment of today’s (October 20) DX Daily. “That’s what Master P did for me.”
He also reacted to the rumors about N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton and his representation in the movie.
“[It’s] one of the greatest movies ever made,” he said. “[N.W.A.] is a group that deserves to have its story told to the whole world. I grew up a fan of them and being able to watch that movie was an awesome depiction of who they were and what they were.”
