This is a great moment and a moment of truth for #6 WBC Tony Bellew (26-2-1, 16 KOs) facing #1 WBC Ilunga Makabu (19-1, 18 KOs) this coming Sunday May 29 at Goodison Park Stadium in Liverpool UK. The 33 year-old Bellew will be fighting for the vacant WBC cruiserweight title and he would be fighting against one of the best and outstanding fighter Makabu.
Three years ago Bellew was only running around the ring when he fought Adonis Stevenson in 2013 because he could not just with stand the punching power of Stevenson.
This weekend Bellew will be facing Makabu who has a better punch power than Stevenson and this will not be a joke for Bellew who must be able to stand up to the call. One fact that is clear is that Makabu is one of the Top 10 best in cruiserweight and he is very dangerous.
Bellew wasted 3 good years of his career facing weaker opponents due to his poor thought, he should have stayed at light heavyweight after the loose in the 6th round to Adonis Stevenson in 2013 but he chooses to move up to cruiserweight where he wasted the whole three years and now he will be fighting the first and probably the last time in cruiserweight division, I tell you things may go bad. If Bellew had stayed at light heavyweight, by now he would have gotten a world title shot by now ….Yea he might have been blown up but would have gotten another chance.
