PWMania.com has just reported that former United States Champion Alberto Del Rio is currently nursing a back injury but the injury detailed will be reviewed at Monday’s RAW in Alabama to ascertain its true nature.

In line with the foregoing, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Del Rio’s injury came from a Brock Lesnar suplex in the Royal Rumble main event. Effectively, Del Rio would be out for a little while.

Firstly, he would do no wrestling this weekend as The Miz has been planned to replace him. Then, we would know around when he would return after the injury is reviewed at this forthcoming Monday’s RAW.

Be it as it may, Del Rio vs. WWE United States Champion Kalisto is already planned for the Fastlane pay-per-view on February 21st but that plan might change if the injury is confirmed to be severe.

While we wish WWE an injury free season, the truth remains that more and more stars go down nearly every fortnightly. Hence, Del Rio is the latest star who has just joined the league that comprises John Cena, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Seth Rollins, Sting, Wade Barrett, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Naomi, Randy Orton and a host of others.

We wish him and others quick recovery.
