Eric Bischoff Gives Opinion On NXT / AEW Ratings

WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff has been with the company for decades now, which is why his opinion carries weight.

That being said, not everyone agrees with everything he says – especially on AEW. In fact, Bischoff thinks NXT will surpass AEW Dynamite in ratings.

NXT has undergone many changes over the years. Its biggest change is the launch of a completely new and colorful look with emphasis on young talent.

After Triple H took over, NXT returned with a black and gold look but still focused on new talent.

The ranking war between AEW and WWE continues to be a big topic until now.

Last week’s episode of NXT drew 776,000 viewers and 0.23 in the coveted 18-49 demographic for the third consecutive week.

While speaking on Strict Business, Eric Bischoff talked about the growth of NXT over the past few weeks.

“People have to remember. NXT is a developmental organization.

It is [WWE’s] biggest, brightest stars as it is with AEW — you see their top talent on that show regularly.

NXT is a developmental company and I wouldn’t expect it to get [these] kind of ratings with people who are trying to become stars as it will get when it has people who are established stars on the show.

I predicted it last year or early this year,” recalled Bischoff. “At some point in time, NXT is going to outperform Dynamite and they’re within about 100,000 viewers or less of doing that.

I predicted it would happen this summer [and] I’m gonna stick with that.”

Easy E said he believes NXT will surpass AEW Dynamite in ratings in the future.
