WrestleMania 34 was a huge success and by far the biggest WrestleMania of all time with several championships changing hands, the return of The Undertaker and Daniel Bryan, the success of both the battle royals, the debut of Ronda Rousey and both the wins of WWE Champion AJ Styles and WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.
After last night’s WrestleMania 34 went off the air, Roman Reigns’ music hit and some medical personnel came out to check on Reigns, but he just walked to the back on his own. There was a quick fireworks show outside the Superdome as well.
Worthy to note also is that WWE has announced that WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar signed a new deal with the company. His previous deal expired with the WrestleMania 34 win over Roman Reigns.
WWE also announced Lesnar vs. Reigns in a Steel Cage match for the Greatest Royal Rumble event on April 27th in Saudi Arabia.
Also, British WWE star Paige has announced her retirement from competing in the ring due to a neck injury.
The two-time WWE Divas Champion made the announcement on RAW After Mania in an emotional speech.
She told fans: “Unfortunately due to neck injuries I can no longer perform as an in-ring competitor. This is one of the hardest things I’ll ever have to say in my entire career.”
After WWE WrestleMania 34 Braun Strowman relinquished the RAW Tag Team titles on RAW after WrestleMania 34.
Strowman shocked the world with the way that he won the championships against former title-holders Cesaro and Sheamus at WrestleMania.
The Monster Among Men was told he needs a partner in order to challenge The Bar for the belts.
Strowman then picked a kid from the audience to team up with him and practically won the titles on his own.
It was certain that his reign would be short as 10-year-old Nicholas isn’t allowed to compete in WWE.
So Strowman and the fourth-grader had to relinquish the belts.
Strowman told on-screen RAW General Manager Kurt Angle: “It pains me to even think about this, much less say it.
“But we’re relinquishing the RAW tag titles.
“Nicholas has a scheduling conflict. I mean, he’s still in the fourth grade.
“But I can promise you one thing, as soon as he’s done with school we’re coming back for those.”
Young Nicholas agreed with Strowman’s statement.
Also, Defending his WWE title, Styles overcame Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura in a match that failed to live up to expectations.
Styles looked to weaken Shinsuke’s left knee so he couldn’t hit his trademark Kinshasa finisher and tormented him with a Calf Killer submission.
When Nakamura did attempt the move, Styles caught his leg and expertly transitioned into his Styles Clash to get an unexpected victory.
The Undertaker ran through his signature moves including Old School as the unprepared Cena struggled.
And when he arrogantly mocked him, Undertaker sat up, caught Cena and defeated him with a huge chokeslam and Tombstone piledriver.
Another exciting match of the night was UFC icon Ronda Rousey teaming up with 1996 Atlanta Olympic Gold medal winner Kurt Angle to defeat Tripple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon.
Stephanie and Triple H utilised every trick in the book to gain an unfair advantage, Stephanie repeatedly targeting Ronda with sneak attacks.
When Rousey was finally able to tag into the match, she fought at a breakneck pace, showing great potential as a top notch WWE superstar.
The final sequence saw Triple H and Stephanie try to hit synchronised Pedigrees, but Rousey made Stephanie tap out to her armbar to earn a win on her WWE debut.
