John Cena And The Rock Share Moment At WWE’s SmackDown Backstage
WWE surprised everyone when the first 20 minutes of this week’s SmackDown included an epic segment with Pat McAfee, Austin Theory and The Rock.
Denver fans were happy to see that go down, but an even bigger moment happened behind the scenes.
The Rock and Pat McAfee were seen backstage again before the end of the first hour of the show.
They were obviously thrilled about this awesome segment and love how much they made Denver fans chant “you’re an asshole” at Austin Theory.
The Rock then turned around and he was greeted by a face from his past. John Cena stood there facing The Rock for a moment.
Then, they broke the tension with a brotherly smile and hug. John Cena welcomed The Rock “home” and it was a great moment.
We’ll have to see if The Rock returns for other stories later on.
The Rock’s appearance on SmackDown a few days after the new TKO Holdings Group merger is also quite interesting timing.
