The National chairman of Peoples Democratic Party PDP Senator Ali Modu Sheriff rejected he won’t sign an undertaking not to contest the for the 2019 Presidential ticket in 2018, the National assembly was threw into confusion yesterday.

At the end of the meeting the lawmakers couldn’t come to a conclusion as they shifted the meeting and promise issues will be concluded within 24hours, there were suggestions that instead of having Sheriff has a single candidate part of PDP lawmakers seek that the position should be shared.

The anti-sheriff lawmakers proposed that who ever contest for the office of the National chairman should sign an undertaking that such will not participate in the Presidential Primaries of the party in 2019 election.

After stating this, a 12-man committee was raised to meet the National Working Committee NWC and to also meet the governor so as to find a final solution to the issue on ground ahead of the convention. Report from a source said the reunion committee include Senators:Danjuma La’ah, Kaduna South; Biodun Olujimi, Ekiti South; Enyinnaya Abaribe, Abia South; Ogola Foster, Bayelsa West and from the House of Reps. We haveTajudeen Yusuf, Kogi; Sunday Karimi, Wole Oke, among others.
