The erstwhile WCW Champion Bill Goldberg spoke to the Huffington Post in an interview recently about his role in the new film Check Point. See the summary of the interview below:
The emotional plot of Check Point:
“Terrorism, as a whole, is — I don’t want to say ‘taboo’ — but it is a very emotional subject. For the plot of the movie to be that it is homegrown. The fact that it happens on our own soil and at the hands of our own citizens is touchy. Not only is it a reminder of the harsh reality that terrorism exists, but that it can actually be carried out on somebody that was born in the United States.”
Why he was attracted to the project:
“With my involvement with the military, and always wanting to raise awareness, I thought it was a perfect project.”

How this role varies from his usual ones:
“Is it stretching my acting legs? No — and yes. The part is an extension of myself, but any time I’m able to surround myself with experienced actors, I can do nothing but grow.
