WWE’s Ronda Rousey Asked If She’ll Ever Make A Return — Ronda’s Response will shock you

Ronda Rousey UFCRonda Rousey has admitted that the UFC ‘is no longer a priority in her life’ and she likely won’t be returning any time soon.

Rousey’s last fight came in 2016 when she suffered a first round knockout defeat to Amanda Nunes.

She is still on speaking terms with company president Dana White and has recently been named as the 44th best fighter in EA Sports’ UFC 4.

However, the former bantamweight champion admitted earlier this year that she’s not concerned with returning to the octagon for people ‘that don’t give a s**t about her’.

“There’s not a day that goes by people aren’t telling me to fight,” Rousey said.

“I have to try and think of it as, would I rather be the greatest of all time, or have everybody think I’m the greatest of all time?

“It used to be so important to me to have both. But now it’s got to the point where I don’t want to sacrifice myself and my family to prove that anymore to a bunch of people that don’t give a sh*t about me.

“I know, and the people who love me know. It’s no longer a priority in my life. All the people that tell you, ‘Come on, fight again, do this again,’ they would never do that for me.”

The UFC Hall of Famer added that that fighting became her only identity, while husband Travis Browne helped show she was ‘so much more’.

Ronda Rousey Lost Her First UFC Fight Ever

“It’s hard when everyone around you, the value they have for you is how you fight, and how they see you is how you fight, and the only thing they think you have to offer is how you fight.

“It was actually my husband that taught me I’m so much more than just a fighter. I don’t have to fight myself into the ground to prove that I’m the greatest of all time when I already know that I am.”

She also admitted that it was hard to walk away from her career after six successful years.

“That’s something I really had to deal with stepping away from the UFC was finding my identity without it, because I got so lost in it,” Rousey said.

“It’s tough, because you’re with these people and you’re like, ‘Oh my god, I got to live this journey with you, this is amazing’ and then you see some of these Bellator fights and you’re like, ‘Oh my god, this person’s still going?’ I can’t watch it. It makes me sad.”

Since leaving MMA behind, the 33-year-old has transitioned to a successful wrestling career in the WWE and she main evented Wrestlemania 35 as Raw Women’s Champion.

“I Re-Invented Myself During The Lockdown,” Ronda Rousey issues official lockdown statement

Ronda RouseyThe career of Ronda Rousey is one that can be described as illustrious, to say the least, whether that be in relation to Judo, Mix Martial Arts, or Professional Wrestling. Despite signing a three-year contract in 2018 with WWE, ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey has been missing since last year’s WrestleMania.

On that night, she was defeated by Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat match, meaning her undefeated streak was over and she lost the Raw Women’s Championship. Fans have been playing the waiting game for Rousey’s return, and with Lynch being champion for nearly a full year now, many though feels she would have come back by now.

Well she’s discussed her future in her latest YouTube vlog and Ronda says, “With much of the world on lockdown as a response to the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe, people are looking to enhance their indoor skills or learn some new ones altogether. I don’t know when I’m going to go back, but I am definitely re-inventing myself during the lockdown”.

Rousey is using her extra home time to hone her cookery techniques which she is sharing on social media for her fans to test out. “#RondasQuarantineKitchen is back with some more useful prepper skills like learning how to dehydrate meat and make your own homemade jerky!” she posted with a link to her YouTube channel.

Ronda Rousey also seems to be having fun as she conquers her fear of sharks. This was documented in Ronda Rousey Uncaged, which aired as part of Shark Week on the Discovery Channel in 2018. Shark attack survivor and dive instructor Paul de Gelder lead the mixed martial arts champ through encounters with a handful of the underwater meat-eaters.

“Ronda is obviously a world champion,” de Gelder said of the UFC Hall of Famer and WWE star. “She picked up information; she processed it. She did everything we asked to keep her safe.

And even though I was absolutely terrified of that last dive, where she’s about to feed the bull shark, I had to rely on the fact that I’d given her all the information I had. She was just such an elite athlete that she knows how to do it, she knows how to maintain her safety.”
