Tattoo Artiste To Donate Proceeds From Bray Wyatt’s Tribute Tattoos To Family
Tattoo artist Joey Cox pays tribute to the late WWE superstar Bray Wyatt by pledging the proceeds of Wyatt’s character-related tattoos to his family.
Wyatt, whose real name was Wyndham Rotunda, died tragically earlier this week at the age of 36.
The wrestling world was shocked by his sudden death, with fans and fellow wrestlers paying tribute to him in various ways.
Wyndham Rotunda’s death is believed to have been caused by a heart condition exacerbated by his battle with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
He was removed from WWE programming earlier this year, but creative plans for his return were reportedly underway at the time of his untimely death.
Tributes poured in from all corners of the wrestling world after Wyatt’s death.
This week’s SmackDown paid tribute to Wyatt, with several WWE Superstars including Karion Cross, Shotzi and Braun Strowman getting Wyatt’s signature logo tattooed as a mark of respect.
DeepSearch Tattoo’s tattoo artist Joey Cox had the honor of creating Bray’s heartfelt tribute to Wyatt.
Cox took to Facebook to express his deep appreciation for Wyatt’s character and the impact he had on his fans’ lives.
Cox has announced that all proceeds from Wyatt’s character-inspired “Firefly Tattoo” will be donated to Rotunda’s family.
“We did this out of pure love for Windham.
We never did it for the recognition, but simply because we loved the character Windham was able to bring to life on so many levels and his ability to touch the lives of everyone around him.
He truly had the whole world in his hands. And to add to all of this, any fan wanting a ‘firefly tattoo,’
I will donate the proceeds to Windham’s family so that we can ensure they are forever taken care of just like Windham would have wanted!”
This is to ensure that the family is properly cared for, as per Wyatt’s wishes.
In addition to Joey Cox’s touching gesture, WWE itself also contributed.
The Rock Heartbroken Over Bray Wyatt’s Death
The company announced that proceeds from the sale of Bray Wyatt merchandise will go to Rotunda’s wife, Jojo, and their four children.
These heartfelt actions by both individuals and organizations underscore the profound impact the Wyndham Rotunda has had on the wrestling world and the lives of those he has influenced.
