The Rock ‘Baller ’ Soars Over 400% On Netflix

Whether launching a new project or being approached by a WWE superstar, The Rock’s name always makes the headlines.

Everything he touches attracts attention, even if it costs money. Ballers ended his 2019, but it looks like he’s still going strong, especially on Netflix.

Ballers racked up 1.7 million total watch minutes while available exclusively on Just Max (formerly HBOMax).

That’s quite a lot, and shows that the show has seen a surge in popularity lately.

According to TV Grim Reaper, hours watched increased to 696 million minutes from August 14 to 20. This happened when the series became available on Netflix.

This phenomenon is commonly referred to as the “Netflix bump” and it’s easy to see why. This happens when viewership spikes when a series that has already ended is acquired by a streaming service.

After all, people like to watch things all the way through. That doesn’t mean the Ballers will be back, but The Rock might have the idea.

He certainly seemed to enjoy this project, but he has a lot more planned.

We also say the SAG-AFTRA strike may have paved the way for John Cena to make a comeback with a few paychecks, but The Rock was advised against it.
