Former UFC Legend Has Been confirmed seriously injured as a result of a fatal accident on Friday. The Illinois State Police Has Confirmed that Former UFC legend Matt Hughes Was involved in a fatal train accident.

Several sources and witnesses of the accident said that a truck Matt Hughes was driving was struked by a train in Raymond III at about 10:45 a.m.

Hughes truck crossed the track directly in front of the train and the train struck the passenger’s side of the truck.

The UFC president on a chat with the press concerning the accident on Friday said Hughes has head trauma.

“Apparently he has head trauma,” White said.

“His family is traveling to him now.”

The Illinois State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the crash.

Hughes Was transported to HSHS St. John Hospital in spring by airlift.

the UFC tweeted a photo to show that they had hughes in mind.

Here is St. John’s hospital statement that confirms that hughes was transported to the hospital.

“Hughes’ family asks that you respect their privacy during this difficult time,” the family also urged Fans, friends and loved ones to “keep Matt in your thoughts and prayers.”
