Update On Sonya DeVille’s ACL Injury

Sonya Deville returned to WWE television in January 2020 in a non-wrestling role. Two years later, Deville is now an active competitor in the ring, but that is currently on hold due to her ACL injury.

That said, Deville is currently recovering very well from her injury. Sonya Deville has managed to stay relevant in WWE after signing with the company in 2015, as she has been involved in some solid storylines over the years.

She also had a great time after winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title in July. However, Sonya Deville suffered a torn ACL after being injured on the July 28 episode of SmackDown.

She later underwent successful surgery and was later spotted using a walker. Luckily, she has improved a lot since then.

While speaking on the Wilde On podcast, Chelsea Green, Sonya Deville’s former tag team partner, spoke about Deville’s recovery status. Green revealed she is recovering very well.

”I was more so worried for her (Sonya Deville when she got injured) in the sense of like, she just has worked so hard to get there.

I have been through this a million times. Like you (Taylor Wilde) said it when we first started, I have been fired and rehired a million times, I’ve broken bones. I’m good.

I know I can come up with something and if they don’t wanna use it, then they’re gonna do what they want. You can’t change that.

But I was just worried for herand her mental health, like going from being on the road for the past seven-to-eight years to having her very first injury and being out after winning the championship, her first title.

But actually, it turns out she’s thriving and doing amazing and healing so well and we talk all the time and I was just very, very grateful to be given a second chance.”

Sonya Deville’s rehabilitation process is also going as well as possible. She updated fans to let them know that she can now walk without crutches.

We’ll have to wait and see when she can get back in the ring.
