Alicia Fox was reportedly supposed to be competing at WrestleMania on Sunday until footage of her arguing with Ronda Rousey’s husband Travis Browne surfaced.

A lot of history was made at WrestleMania 34 on Sunday night as is always the case with WWE’s biggest show of the year. Ronda Rousey made her in-ring debut, Daniel Bryan is wrestling again, and Charlotte Flair broke Asuka’s two and a half year long undefeated streak. Despite the controversial way that the show ended, it was an otherwise unmitigated success.

There was also history being made on the kick off show too which is not something we’re always privy to. The women not competing in bigger matches later in the night wrestled in a women’s battle royal.

Technically not the first in WrestleMania history but a much bigger deal than the last one which was won by a man at WrestleMania 25. A number of women from Raw, SmackDown Live, and NXT competed in the match but there was one peculiar omission.

Over the weekend, there were rumors that Alica Fox had been cleared to return for the match. However, when the battle royal took place, she was nowhere to be seen. At the time of typing this the rumor, according to The Wrestling Observer, is that Fox was pulled from the match due to an altercation she had over the weekend with Travis Browne. For those of you not familiar with the world of MMA, Travis Browne is Ronda Rousey’s husband.

The heated exchange between the two of them was caught on camera, and you can watch the clip here courtesy of The Sun, and while it’s not clear what they are arguing about Fox appears to be pretty angry and calls Browne “rude.” Then when Fox realizes that she is being filmed she pushes the camera and storms off. Rousey is a top priority in WWE right now, especially considering how well her debut went on Sunday, so falling out with her husband is likely not going to stand you in good stead, even if you have been with the company for twelve years like Fox has.

It will be extremely interesting to find out what happens next with Fox as this story unfolds. Hopefully, the altercation won’t lead to her being released but that really depends on what was said between her and Browne and what the nature of their disagreement was about. Fox might not be at the top of the women’s division right now but her experience is invaluable, so it would be a loss for WWE if they have to let her go.
