It has been officially confirmed that the Big Red Machine, had openly announced his interest to be a candidate for Knox County mayor in Knoxville, TN.
After he filed paperwork to name a treasurer last February, people were expecting him to put his name in the hat.

For quite some time now, Glenn Jacobs has been away from WWE television, as of late, and after he said he considered a run back in an interview in May 2016, it seems he’s ready to try to run for office.

It very likely we won’t be seeing Kane for a while since he will be trying to run around for his campaign as the Knoxville’s primary election has been slated for August 29th, 2017.
However, Kane has been away from Television for a while now. He was last involved in the SmackDown Live storyline between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt, where he aligned with Randy Orton until The Viper turned on him. Not long after that, he was written out of television, and faced an injury of sorts while also focusing more on the insurance company he runs with his wife.

Meanwhile, as well known, Kane is a Rotarian and has several non-profit causes to help out the community. He’s a staunch Libertarian.
